August 2017

Our August 2017 newsletter is now hot off the press and ready for perusal! We constantly strive to improve communication with our patients and this newsletter is one of four per calendar year which will be distributed on a quarterly basis, via email; on our website (www.drstocktonandthompson.co.uk); and at the reception desk. We hope you find the information contained useful and we appreciate any comments or feedback.

The newsletter is distributed by email to all patient's whom we have a valid email address for - if you haven't received an email, please contact the surgery to check and/or update your contact details.

As a practice we feel that we can help to support local community groups who provide services to the public to help increase awareness of different health related issues such as weight, alcohol intake and smoking.

Tracing Steps

Tracing Steps Theatre & Dance Company

Tracing Steps Theatre and Dance Company deliver Drama and Dance classes for toddlers, children. young people, adults and even the more mature folk across Middleton, Heywood and Greater Manchester.

We work in nurseries, schools, community centres, day centres, youth groups and even in residential nursing homes and believe that everybody should have the opportunity to be creative regardless of their age or ability!

Middletonia Community Website

This is the first website of its kind created by a Middleton lady with no ties to any other organisation or authority and is here purely for the good of the community and to keep the heart of the town alive.

The site is new and continues to grow.  It is regularly updated and added to and the aim is to offer information on services to the people of Middleton absolutely free of charge.  People are welcome to comment on the site to colette@middletonia.co.uk

Demesne Community Centre

Demesne Community Centre has provided high quality services, activities and advice to local people for almost 40 years.

The centre prides itself on being a warm, friendly and welcoming place for local people to meet, learn something new, get involved in their community or improve their lives.

Based at the heart of Langley Estate, Demesne Community Centre and our adjoining Demesne Media Arts Centre offer a full and ever changing programme of trainign courses, workshops, social groups and services to meet the needs of Local residents and the wider community of Middleton.
