Patient Participation Group

Our patient participation group was set up in December 2011 to enable our patients to help facilitate the shaping and developing of services both in the practice and the community we serve.

The original presentation documents shown to patients can be downloaded by clicking here and help to explain exactly what our group does.

If you would like to email the group with any suggestions, comments or feedback, positive or negative then you can email them on drstocktonandthompson.ppg@nhs.net

Who Is Involved In The Group?

The group currently has 19 members who are all patients registered at the practice and reside in the local area.

The group is chaired by Mr Ernie Halliwell who is supported by the vice chair Mr Derek Dent and Mrs Lea Healey is the groups secretary and responsible for organising the meetings and distributing various documentation.  More information on Ernie, Derek and Lea is available by clicking our 'Members Profile' tab at the top of the page.

When & How Often Does The Group Meet?

The group currently meets once per month at the practice, however this may change in the future as the group becomes more established.

How Do I Get Involved?

Currently the group is at maximum capacity, however the group does hold an annual meeting in which every patient (as long as you are registered with the practice) can attend.  Should you have an interest in joining the group then this should be made known at the annual meeting where this will be discussed further.
